June 29, 2026

The Association of Canadian Port Authorities (ACPA) welcomes the release of today’s discussion paper on strengthening Canada’s economy through trade and transportation measures. We are encouraged by the opportunity for further engagement with the federal government in the coming weeks.
Canada’s ports are critical to trade, supply chains, economic growth, and national connectivity. We appreciate the government’s recognition of the importance of trade corridors, infrastructure investment, supply chain efficiency, and collaboration with Indigenous communities and industry stakeholders.
ACPA remains committed to working collaboratively with the federal government to support practical, effective measures that strengthen Canada’s trade infrastructure and long-term economic competitiveness.
